AST Fabrics, formerly A. Sommer Textiles, is a beautiful line of high-end decorative textiles serving the home furnishings industry as well as the contract and hospitality markets. The core of our line is an extensive collection of textured upholstery fabrics woven in our in-house mill. Our designs range from traditional to modern, offering many choices for differing design styles.

Our mill is comprised of Dobby looms, allowing us to weave fabrics with small repeats that create subtle patterns and textures made from the highest quality and most luxurious yarns we can procure. The natural fiber fabrics we are known for are incredibly rich and saturated with color, adding vibrancy and elegance to a room. We have now expanded our line to include performance fabrics that are 100% American-made, comprised of high UV dyed-polyester yarns, perfect for today’s casual indoor/outdoor living.

Being able to manufacture our own fabric is an incredible feeling – to be in the heart of Silicon Valley and producing one of the world’s oldest goods is remarkable. Our commitment to using American-made yarns whenever possible, thereby maintaining a short, reliable supply chain has allowed us to thrive for over 50 years, proudly offering our high quality, impeccably designed fabrics for two generations and counting!
